At the moment I am looking for several films and TV episodes which I only can get in the USA. I found some but my question is the following: I here in Europe can copy an PAL tape with my DVD recorder. What is when I find somebody in the States who is willing to copy his NTSC-videotape on DVD. What is the result? Will I have a non-coded DVD so that I could watch it over here (I CAN play NTSC discs if they are codefree or code 2!). Or will I get a code 1 DVD?

So if it should work that I get a codefree DVD what is when I get a copy from a code 1 DVD. Will it then be code 1 as well or a codefree disc?

Thanks a lot for help!

When you record on a domestic DVD Recorder it does not put a region code on it .the discs you produce are code free, down load a copy of DVD Decrpter(it is free) on your PC and you can check any DVD to see its status
Only DVD"s purchased have region encoding (some are region free)
