Default AVi burning

AVi files should burn automatically, try downloading nero premium 7 from torrentspy and try again

I use Winavi and it works fairly well providing you put the correct settings in (use Avicodec to check). It might reject the odd movie file as some people use strange custom codecs and bitrates.

I started using this little tool AVI to DVD Video Converter Software - ConvertXtoDVD - VSO Software simply drag and drop most any video file, and press convert! Works well for me. Try downloading the trial version first, and see how you get on. The full version only costs about £15.00...

Best, Aaron

This is a routine procedure with Adobe Encore - though the transcoding takes some time - import the AVI as an asset/timeline, transcode and use in the DVD project.
Encore 2 (latest version) should be available as a fully working 30 day trial, download from adobe.com/uk or look for it on a magazine disc.
Good luck
:-)

Try using Daemon Tools, very simple to use. All you do is once installed is open the software and you get an "extra 4 dvd drives". Select one of the drives and copy and paste your files to that drive. You should then be able to burn the file to the disc.

ImgBurn blows Nero out of the water and it's free.

I've never used ImgBurn - I only hope these products work, not 'blows' others out of the water.

The Official ImgBurn Website

I expect the various OS versions will soon absorb all CD and DVD burning features and all of these add-on's will be vague memories, but they've lasted five years longer than I thought they would, and another 5 wouldn't be unexpected.

i have to go with Aaron on this one.

After trying winavi and many others this appears to be the best IMHO.

A great piece of software and creates "switchable" subs ( if you like the odd foreign language film)!

A Program like Ultra ISO will burn the Divx files to a normal dvd-r/dvd+r disk. I got myself one of the DVD players that will play DivX as well as the normal Mpeg2 and VCD style discs!
