Microvision Development Forums troubleshooting Some is the software's failure to recognize either the drive or the disk, and there's also some hardware issues. The latest batches of concerns appears to be over "fading" of the image over the 9-14 months that some disks have 'lived', with some users saying the image has faded so completely that it can't be read. That's discouraging. I've used them with fair results but I greatly prefer the Epson R200 or R300-series printers, which use less-expensive ink-jet-printable discs, and can do it in full color. No doubt those too will have image degrading over time, too, but it's doubtful that they'll fade so completely as to be unreadable, like some of the Lightscribe users discuss. |
