Default cheap panasonic dvd recorder - any good?

£184.35 delivered, seems like a good price for this 'freeview tuner' multiformat Panasonic dvd recorder, (non hard disk category) (£230+ on the high street)Panasonic DMR-EZ25 - Product Summary - Digital Direct UK in fact, i'm tempted to take the plunge...
Anyone got one? Are they any good? ..................

Anyone know of a better price for the same or similar spec unit? (must have digital tuner and be -/+ recordable)

Aaron x

Don't know this model but I have two older Panasonic DVD recorders and have found them really reliable. Would recommend one with a hard disk though if you're a collector - allows much more flexibility with compiling and editing before you archive onto a disc.

As for buying - I've always found Richer Sounds offer the best deals, if you have one in your area.

Had one of these for about a week and an excellent machine it is too (the internal Freeview does not pick up as many channels as my Sony box though), I would recommend it and I read today that Which? does too. I got mine for £180 plus delivery from SVP, I like to deal with them where possible as they have such a well earned reputation.
