I have a dvd burner on my computer, But as a mere female (sorry all you feminists), i really do not know how to use it. Can anyone tell me what soft ware etc i need to be able to download, save and burn tv films and other dvd's, please.

Free soft ware if avaliable, but if not a really easy to use. I may need spep by step idiots guide as to how to do it, but you would be helping me to achieve something!!!!

Software is a subjective thing - different people will choose one brand over another according to which features are best etc.

Myself, I use Nero for the actual ordering and burning of files.

To download movie files from the internet you will need what is called a client: again purely a matter of choice as tyo which works best for you. In my case uTorrent. The 'client' will organise your downloads and store them in whichever section of your hard drive you choose.

An idiot's guide would be rather a long list of things to check!

No doubt myself or any of the other estimable users of this site would be more than happy to pm you through the minefield of how to use the dvd burner!

    Good luck!

I won't overload you with details of different software you might need. But one you should have is DVD Shrink. It does a whole lot of useful things

    And DVD Decrypt too.

Best thing is that both are free and easily downloaded.
