You're not alone with your "label must die mania" Gazza!

I like to have things in order and used to be seen as just a tidy chap. Then along came Patrick Bergin and his soup cans all facing the same way in "Sleeping with the enemy" and now I am seen as a blooming psycho!

I'm a bit psycho about sticky labels - they have to come off wherever they may be. What I can't bear is when they won't come off cleanly and tear off in tiny bits or leave the glue behind.

If I see someone reading a book on the tube and it has a Buy 2 for 3 sticker on it, I sooo want to lean over and peel it off.

Hm, what does all that say about me?

For all us sticker-haters .... buy some stuff called 'Sticky Stuff Remover'. You have to be careful, and it is best to remove the paper insert, but it is great for getting rid of adhesive residue on DVD boxes, including those ones on the top that the Yanks are so fond of.

I bought my bottle from Lakeland.

My principal reason for ditching my DVD boxes in favour of plastic sleeves was the huge amount of space I was able to save. However, it has the advantage that I'm now able to watch my Special Branch DVD's without having to endure that gut-wrenching moment of wondering just how much damage I'm doing to the discs whilst I attempt the Krypton Factor-esque process of trying to extricate them.

I don't wish to go off on too much of a tangent, but I do have a hee-uge issue with the excess packaging that DVD's have always been supplied with.

The only problem with buying items like that online, is that you invariably end up paying more in postage and packing that the item costs.

Apparently, 'Focus Do-It-All' sell it - but, if you have another local DIY shop or superstore, it might be worth a phone call to see if they stock it - or something similar.

If you have a "Kleeneze" or "Betterware" rep who calls, they also sell a sticky stuff remover - 'Betterware' sell their own brand.

I have had a bottle for years - it's very economical - but I find that it does 'whiff' a bit and is inclined to be greasy; I certainly wouldn't be without it though.
