I have a number of Divx files on my computer and want to put them on DVD, the trouble is my DVD creator doesnt read Divx files. Does anyone know of any freeware to convert them to avi files?

You can usually change the name of the file by adding .avi and then convert them as normal.

No doubt avi2dvd is fine. I've used DvdFlick and found it excellent in case you want to try it.

Get ConvertxtoDVD. Accepts just about any format. And it's good.

You don't want to be converting video formats. Life is too short.

As Mark says the file name is a good trick to use as DivX is a codec while AVI is just a containment system the works with Windows media player. The convertXtoDVD is one of the best and easy to use converting systems to make the files DVD Mpeg-2 compatable.
