Default LoveFilm DVD Rentals

Has anyone else noticed that LoveFilm online rental has most "Network" releases, but they are all set to "Reserve Title" with the description....."Unfortunately this title is currently unavailable for rental. We apologise for any inconvenience ... "
I wonder if Network have stopped them from renting them out, Blockbuster seem to be ok sending out Network releases.

I have Lovefilm and have noticed this also many a time I have added a network film to my list only then to find out its not available, I cant comment on Blockbuster as I have never used them.

I've just also noticed that Networks new London's Burning - Series 5 has "NOT FOR RENTAL" on the Discs, so maybe Network are trying to stop their Releases from being Rented out altogether.

Default Love Film

I have also noticed this aswell.
Only about a month ago they did have Networks
titles in their rental lists,so can only conclude
that Network are reviewing their trading policy
with other companies?
Watch this space i guess!

For a fair few months now new NETWORK releases (THE DOCTOR...series, PLEASE SIR etc.) have been marked not for rental. They are obviously the first label who have become wise to what has been going on with the rental libraries for ages.

Can't say that I blame them, knowing how hard it is for them to come into profit on certain titles that people assume will be huge sellers...

Default Anyone had an experience of that LOVEFiLM.com website?

Got a free three-month trial. Had a quick look on there and there are plenty of British films available. Might give it a go.

I hope you'll give us reviews of the service you receive. While I don't want to promote spamming by vendors here, when I see Mediatheque's wise postings about BFI's offerings, I can't help but wonder why other vendors don't cruise these forums to try to solve problems. Er - if they could!

Maybe that's why they don't.

First Class service-have now seen over 100 movies that I doubt will ever be on tv much less ones I could afford to buy. I only rent one at a time but even so manage about 5-6 dvd's per month and by only sending for films recommended at Empire.com and other review sites have rarley been disappointed.

Very good service. Occasionally get a scratched or faulty disc, but if so they replace it, no questions asked. They have almost everything available in the UK, with the exception of a few box sets. If you're discipled and watch things as soon as you get them, the unlimited rentals can be very good value. They are very speedy at sending the next items as soon as you return your previous rentals.

I have also had very good service from Lovefilm, they do seem to be on the ball and have a pretty good turn around (I normally have my next rental about three to four days after returning the previous one.) Also, If a disc gets lost in the post either to or from they are very understanding, no penalties to the customer provided the relevant form from the Post office is sent back in (they also sort all of this out for you including getting the form etc). Would recommend any doubters to give them a try.

I use Lovefilm and find it very good indeed. It's just a shame that you can't rent out any of the Network stuff anymore.

I went to sign on to these and found they only send to mainland UK only and not to Northern Ireland but i still get emailed by them and i cant even use them. Its so annoying when companies do that, we are the UK when it suites them.?

You need a better email filter. Try Thunderbird if you're not already using it. it's much better than Outlook Express.

I like the ones that try to spam me with offers for things only available in the States, despite my having a .co.uk email address
They all go straight into the junk folder
