It looks as if Hammer Films are making a comeback. Yep, that's right the kings of British horror back in the 1960's and 1970's are producing a new horror flick that will star Sadie Frost (BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA). Frost will star in BEYOND THE RAVE, a vampire story set in London's rave underground. How cool is this?
The film will also feature a cameo by Hammer legend Ingrid Pitt, according to sources at Aint It Cool News. She will apparently play the mother to one of the characters in the flick. |

It sounds interesting to me. Some 'modern day' vampire stories really struggle for the right atmosphere, but the synopsis on IMDB sounds encouraging. The cast looks solid too. I have never heard of the director, presumably he's a first timer so should be bringing some new ideas with him. I really enjoyed the vampire series 'Ultraviolet' with Jack Davenport a few years ago. If this new Hammer is as good as that I'll be well happy. Rave On!
