What a great idea! With all the original PotA films I always wondered how things had got that way.

This looks like a great concept, whether it's a great film is another matter.

To be fair, the original film series does show how - in the time loop sequence from Beneath through Escape and onto Conquest...

This would be an alternative universe solution for a new franchise.

nothing wrong with this film, i watched it yesterday, The Planet of The Apes films have come a long way since Charlton Heston sat on the beach and saw the Statue of Liberty in the sand, i realy enjoyed it, and who would have guessed Andy Sirkis was under the ape mask.

Mask?!? It was all motion capture CG. The film was good, but the human aspect of the plot was lacking. Shame because if this was a bit more focused/developed it could have been great.

It has to be better than the other recent-ish remake.

This movie is horrible, and I agree with Wolfgang, the story is very bad. 1/5.
