Been Following the series for a while.....
looking forward to seeing the Film....These things very rarely make a good Crossover on the Big Screen but fingers crossed![]()
I came to the tv series fairly late and have to admit I found it hilarious, tho like Men Behaving Badly I don't expect it to age well.
Now the (late-twentysomething) teens have joined the far from distinguished list of sitcom-to-feature crossovers and made a healthy £2.5m on preview day. Like the On the Buses movie, it's probably unexceptional (the premise reminds me of Kevin and Perry) but I'd imagine Film4 are laughing all the way to the bank.

Has anyone seen this film and if so what is it like?It seems to have done very well at the box office.however its score of 8.2 on IMDb just cant be for real.
I haven't seen it, but I dread the idea of taking a situation comedy out of the very situation that the comedy comes from. Also, I think the last series of Inbetweeners was very poor compared to the previous ones. It has always been a comedy of sexual humiliation, but now it's just the humiliation without the comedy or pathos there was before ...
Historically, sitcoms haven't transferred well to the screen. As my partner says:: 'they just go on holiday.." I presume the Inbetweeners are in Ibiza or somewhere similar? Not that I will see it until it comes out on DVD. Sperm jokes lose their appeal after you've heard 400 of them..
It's a shame that this is seen as a British comedy. I'm proud to call any Ealing Studio or Python film a British comedy, but this is just juvenile nonsense. In a nutshell 'The Inbetweeners' is 'Kevin & Perry Go Large' X 2
It's actually very good. I was in stitches throughout most of the film. If you are a fan of the TV series, then you'll love it, as its basically like a very long episode.
Inbetweeners was a great movie. Best british film in years!!
