This is a Hollywood re make, starring Helen Mirren and Tom Wilkinson, of a 2007 Israeli film. It is about a group of Mossad Agents in the 1960's trying to capture a Nazi who escaped after the War. It is set in modern times with lots of flashbacks.

Having seen both versions, this new one isn't a patch on the original, which is excellent.

Haven't seen the remake but I'd certainly recommend the oriiginal Israeli version, which as you say is an excellent film.

The Israeli version must be extremely good then. I saw the 'Hollywood' version (Brit cast and director) a few days ago and was gripped from beginning to end. The plot I found a little hard to believe but such good performances I was moved to tears at one point. What is it about the Israeli version that you think is better done?

I went to see this film this afternoon and whilst the storytelling is more muddled than in the original it is still fine film making
