Default Churchill: The Hollywood Years

Directed by Peter Richardson (The Comic Strip Presents) and written by Richardson with Pete Richens, Churchill, The Hollywood Years is a comic retelling of one of Britain’s most historic moments…as seen through the eyes of Hollywood.

American movie moguls are producing 'Churchill', a movie about World War II. Unhappy that their leading man is an old, fat, cigar smoking Englishman an ambitious executive suggests replacing him with Christian Slater, the dashing and all American action hero, star of their recent hit movie “Pump”.

Christian Slater stars as the new improved Churchill with Neve Campbell taking the role of the young Princess Elizabeth.

Reminds me of the "Strike" pastische in one episode where a passionate welsh miners telling of the strike of the time is taken on by hollywood
i seem to recall Scargill became a Rambo like figure and it ending with shootout in the house of lords.the evil tories on the glc were going to flood london until stopped by red ken building the thames barrier.
Still Churchill's mum was American so....

Strike was a Hollywood re-telling of the 84 miners strike. I seem to recall Scargill was played by Al Pacino (Richardson) and he rode around bare-chested on a mototbike.

GLC, The Bullshitters, The Yob and Five Go Mad in Dorset (which I recall only just made it to air for to legal reasons) were some of my other faves but I've not seen them repeated in recent years.
