The family of late comedy legend Peter Sellers are suing broadcast giants the BBC after it used footage from his home videos on a new DVD about his life. Sellers third wife, model Lynne Fredericks Sellers, loaned the BBC the private footage for a three-part series screened in 1995, shortly after her death. But her estate claim the BBC were not granted permission to use some of the footage on new 90 minute DVD, Sellers On Sellers. "The BBC is trying to profit from the unauthorized use of Peter Sellers' copyrighted material." The BBC claims it owns the copyright, but has been ordered to take the $34 DVD off the market until Britain's High Court makes its judgment this week.
