Principal photography is now complete in Romania on The Last Drop, a heist movie set against the backdrop of World War II. The film stars Billy Zane, Michael Madsen, Nick Moran, Sean Pertwee and Karel Roden and introduces David Ginola in his first feature film role.
In a daring attempt to end the war by Christmas, Winston Churchill and the British High Command hatch an extraordinary plan - Operation Market Garden. 35,000 British troops are dropped behind enemy lines in German occupied Holland. In the midst of the largest airborne invasion in history, one small unit of men, codename ‘Matchbox', has its own hidden agenda.
The true target is a vast horde of Dutch gold and art treasures, plundered by the Nazis and stored behind an impregnable booby-trapped safe, imminently bound for Berlin.
