Ewan, a lonely but resourceful young boy, befriends Bobby, a small white terrier, little knowing that the dog's adventures will make him a world famous example of the courage and loyalty to be found in 'man's best friend'.

The new Greyfriars Bobby is far closer to real-life events than the mawkish Disney version of 1961. The little terrier's owner is a policeman, not an old shepherd. Almost as attractive to buyers as the dog itself, suggests Bloye, is the presence of the venerable Christopher Lee, who plays Lord Provost Chambers.

I can never watch films like "Greyfriar's Bobby"' without shedding a tear or two at the very sad parts in the story.
I'm usually the same with any film about animals.
Call me a old softie but for that reason alone I tend to keep away from those type of films.
Love animals.Hate sad stories about them.

Dave.
