I don't think it's been released yet, probably it was re-scheduled, not a good sign.

It's still in post-production. Expected to be released in February 2010

It's a re-make of The Wolf Man (1941)

They've been filming up here at Chatsworth.

Best wishes.

They've also been filming at Wisley. A friend of mine works there and watched some of the filming. She said it looked 'pretty scary'.

I'll definitely be visiting my local cinema for this one. It's about time we had another decent UK werewolf movie.

As opposed to the Hollywood UK of the original. Quite like the original - got a great cast for a B movie

You can't see the join !

I thought Anthony Hopkins said he wasn't going to make any more films.

Dick Van Dyke announced his retirement in the early 1970's and then shortly thereafter unretired. He is now in his eighties and still ready if the phone rings.

Wouldn't it be easier to have a break instead of 'retiring'? They always look like such wallies when they come back.

Hope it's a good film though - although I must confess I've never reckoned Sir Anthony as an actor. Legends of the Fall, anyone? Peee-yooo!

He's a great actor - when he has some decent material to work with, as is shown by Legends of the Fall

Also, when he's not trying to remind us that he was born in the Port Talbot area of south Wales, just like Richard Burton. Tony's good, but he ain't no Burton

Steve

Truer words were never said, Steve Crook.

Still, I hope it's good - I haven't seen a decent horror film in quite a while.

This is one of the rare times a remake makes sense. The original, while good, is not at the level of the classic Universal horror movies from the 1930's. Lon Chaney Jr. and Claude Raines are hardly believable as father and son and the mixture of American and British accents distracts from its European locale. The direction lacks style. On the plus side, it's very well written and has Chaney Jr., an effective actor within a limited range (playing pathetic losers was his range) is at his best playing the tormented Larry Talbot. I hope they don't screw it up.
