Default Mr.Bean Returns.

I'm a bit aprehensive at the news that a sequal to the 1997 Mr. Bean movie is on the way. Shooting has already started.
The new plot apparantly revolves around Mr.Bean causing trouble at the Cannes film festival.
The previous movie version had nowhere near the quality of laughs as the Mr.Bean television series.
After such a long lay off from playing the character I hope that Rowan Atkinson will do the new movie justice and not just produce a poor substandard script simply as a quick money grabber.

Dave.

Thumbs down

I have made it clear to my relatives, near birthday and Christmas time to NEVER get me the DVD of Mr Bean - hated the tv series,so now doubt I would hate the film, considering also it was directed by Mel Smith.

Well I see that Steve Bendelak is in the director's chair this time around, so I'm slightly hopeful that something good will come of it. Bendelak's recent credits include helming the first (and arguably best) season of Little Britain, and the three series (and film) of The League of Gentlemen.

...I adored Rowan's show; when I was 16 and 17. I actually watched the first movie twice, looking for something to like about it . Verdict: the Bean doesn't translate to the Big Screen. Will Sacha Baron Cohen have better luck, with his forthcoming 'Borat'?

Aintitcool.com are fellating Mr Cohen on a daily basis over this film.

Can't say I want to see it myself.

Never have visited Aintitcool.com ; did see jabbaredhut on Roger Ebert once, and all he did was fellate Rog. Seems to me they'll do anything to attach the Aintitcool.com to all that it trendy, now, hip, in, It,etc. - judgeing by their blurbs. I'd put exatly zero stock in what they say. About time Cohen got off his ass and did something, is my last comment on the matter before 'Borat' is released. And if it's garbage, my last comment ever on the matter of SBC.
