This could be one of the best post-Moore era Bond films. I may also need some custard on the large slice of humble-pie in front of me.
Craig looks excellent in the role, cinematography looks stunning and loads of OTT stunts. Everything a Bond film should be. Roll on Nov 17th. Anyone know whats happened to the "boycott this movie" brigade? |

Everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves.
I really think Craig will make a good Bond. I'm hoping for meatier storylines and a little less gadgets and gimmicks in upcoming Bond films. Strange but true that apart from Sean Connery all the other actors that played Bond in the past have had diminished careers since hanging up their holsters. Dave. |

I'm grudgingly being converted. :-)
Seriously though, having seen the trailer, I'm starting to have a good feeling about the film. It is actually looking one of the best prospects in the recent history of the series. I also hope that what they are saying about the emphasis being on the story, proves to be true. I'm a less convinced about Craig as the lead, although having said that, I agree that he does deserve a full screening before my mind is made up on this one. I'll certainly be in the queue when it opens. |

I see plans are already in progress to release the next Bond film after 'Casino Royale'.
Theres no word yet as to what the title will be but it is already set for release on May 2 2008. Daniel Craig has been guaranteed the Bond job again no matter what the critics or public think of 'Casino Royale' Roger Mitchell is set to direct the film. Dave. |

I think he'll do good. The trailer was awesome. Bit confused about the M situation. If it's set before all the others why is Judy Dench in it? It's only confusion though not a complaint , I think she's great.

You can't really stick to timelines in Bond films. The role of M was essentially at his desk at the beginning and appeared at the end of the film just as the shagging commences.
Joe Don Baker was killed in "Living Daylights" but resurfaced as a CIA agent in 2 more. Shame the Bond Girls never make a second appearance. Denise Richards, for one. But thats just me being a perv. |
