I understand the young lad who beat me to the role in 'Young Sherlock Holmes' (I applied for the role) is set to play the revamped detective or so I have heard.

I have to admit, Nicholas Rowe has an absolutely wonderful face.

I have heard this 'Holmes feature' rumour several times but can find no substative evidence of it anywhere.

Mrs Bat and I have similar 'beat me to it' stories ... she was up for the part of Lady Jane Grey in 'Lady Jane' but lost out to Helena Bonham Carter, and to my eternal shame, I lost out on a good part in a TV cop show called 'City Central' to Ross Kemp. Ho hum....
