OH MY GOD!!!
dpgmel is as "cock-a-hoop" as he said he'd be if this was released - and now it's going to happen!
I can't believe this exciting news, or for the other shows.
Many thanks to both.

Yes, well remember making that statment and believe me I am![]()
Am I being very dumb or is Network a bit cagey about how much they'll be charging for P&P (specifically to Europe)? The only info seems to be about the USA - "we'll tell you only when you buy something" ...?
Great news about the Man at the Top series .... let's hope the film gets a release sometime too.

Fingers crossed they could include it as a bonus feature.
I have watched most episodes of season 1 now and although it is definitely entertaining, the quality of the episode story lines is disappointing. Especially so as John Braine was involved with the series and wrote some of the episodes. This is comparing it with the two movies, featuring Joe Lampton, that it follows. I would be interested to hear what other people think.
Incidentally both films: Room at the Top and Life at the Top are available on DVD.
Have only watched episode 1 (Charity Begins at Home) so far and have to say that I found it quite pedestrian. To think that this was considered so 'racy' at the time too!
Not sure if Haigh was quite the right casting here and (as usual) I find his striking use of eye-liner rather off putting...
Maybe my opinion will change with later episodes; this, like them, remains to be seen.
