I wonder if they'll actually release it this time. They were due to release it in August, 2008, but it was cancelled.

Ah, I see that amazon uk have an image of the DVD cover on the item page. That's a good sign. It could get released this time. But I hope they don't use the same transfer used on Channel 4 and Film 4, as the sound on that has a slight wow on it, only noticeable when the music's playing.

The Moonraker (one of my favourite films as a boy):

    Filmed: Summer, 1957.

Classified "U" by the BBFC on January 28th, 1958.

Premiered: Empire, Leicester Square, London, May 22nd, 1958.

Special pre-release provincial screenings at selected cinemas: June, 1958.

    General Release: August 3rd, 1958.

ABOVE: Gary Raymond as Charles Stuart; Clive Morton as Lord Harcourt and George Baker as Anthony, Earl of Dawlish, also known as The Moonraker.

BELOW: Three stills from The Moonraker Front-of-House set.

A Roundhead trooper (Richard Waring) crosses swords with The Moonraker (George Baker).

Anne Wyndham (a very young Sylvia Syms) and The Moonraker fall in love.

The Moonraker and Roundhead secret agent Major Gregg (Peter Arne) do battle at Lulworth Cove in Dorset.

Thanks, Billy. I made sure I got that Front-of-House set off eBay some years ago. It cost me quite a bit, though, but it was worth it. I also have the original 30 x 40 inches quad poster, part of the design of which is featured on the DVD cover. Let's hope that Optimum release it this time.
