Anyone know if there are any extras to this or is it just 'bare bones'?

One of my favourites.
Running time of the original theatrical release = 103 minutes (99 minutes of PAL)
Running time of Optimum's DVD = 84 minutes
Sorry everyone but it's missing 15 minutes plus of footage. The US version was longer but did not have any extras. This Optimum release is also barebones.
Check out the German edtion of the movie - and you'll find me interviewing stuntman Eddie Powell as a 'DVD extra'. He played the Grand Inquisitor in the film.

James M is correct - Optimum appear to be releasing the abridged 87m US version of the film.
The UK version, which runs about 97m, was released in the US by Anchor Bay and also in Germany by Anolis. I have the Anolis DVD which has quite a few extras.

That's rather disappointing that the movie has been cut. What's the point of going to the trouble of releasing a film on DVD if it's not the complete version?![]()

Optimum have recently had a practice of doing things like this (e.g. The Goose Steps Out, THE AVENGERS boxset debacle).![]()

I read about THE AVENGERS boxset hash-up at least they seem to have corrected that problem. Still, that's no excuse for Optimum's slap dash ways![]()

And The Long Arm where they forgot the soundtrack![]()
Also Charge Of The Light Brigade where they seem to have sourced the shorter print.
Still awaiting news as to whether their release of Xtro contains the brief footage missing from the Film 2000 DVD.

It looks like we're going shopping on ebay.sp rather than .co,uk for this one chaps.

103m was the running time of the print submitted to the BBFC but the actual theatrical release was only 97m/98m per the Monthly Film Bulletin. Hammer presumably trimmed 5m out between certification and release.

Does anyone know when this practice (cutting your own films and not obtaining a certificate for the re-cut) became illegal (as it is now)?
