IMHO the best of the TV spin-offs
Re-released in new packaging to match the BBC Box Set and just £2 in Asda, you stupid boy!
IMHO the best of the TV spin-offs
The original cinema release of Dad's Army in 1971 had a two minute black and white newsreel clip on the beginning, placed between the censor's certificate and the Columbia opening title, showing some Brigadier standing on a platform in a field giving a speech of encouragement to a group of Local Defence Volunteers. But this prologue has never reappeared on any television showing of the film, or on any video or DVD release. I wonder why.

I agree, it stands apart from all the other spin off films. Its production values allow it to stand apart as a feature film that captures the feel of the TV series without it diminishing to the levels of a cheap cash in job.
