The series of Steptoe and Son started in 1962

The Comedy Playhouse episode The Offer was broadcast on 5 January 1962
The first episode of the series was broadcast on 14 June 1962

Thanks for that Steve! Memory is the first thing to go, and mine seems to be going fast!

A bad sign is when , you have one foot on the bathroom floor ,and one foot in the bath , then think " Am I getting in the bath or am I getting out of the bath ? "

A hint: if the foot on the floor is dry, you're getting in; if it is wet, you're getting out

"Running Jumping & Standing Still Film" was on a regular Yankee VHS copy of "Hard Days Night" my two boys watched it over and over.

I wonder what they mean by calling The Running Jumping & Standing Still Film "previously un-broadcast"? I have seen it on UK TV and it has been released on video (a double bill with Lord Henry at Rawlinson End IIRC).

The DVD qualifies this by saying 'Available for the first time - digitally restored'.

I can not get rid of Ringo Starr's bloody 'Liverpool 8 (Official Music Video)' out of my head. Maybe somebody could buy up all the recordings of it, put it on a billion layered HDD DVD Blue Ray catherter (or Cathode Ray) and throw it into the Mersey.
