Sounds like it might have too much of a feelgood factor for me.

But the heroine tragically ends up with the wrong chap

The Adventures of Robin Hood is also going pretty cheap at £12.99 a series

The complete Thriller is only £22:09. Very tempted by The Prisoner on Blu-ray for only £25:34.

Oh. I won't bother then! This film does include David Niven in his screen appearance, however, so it's worth a look for that alone.

Raven, The Four Just Men, The Hanged Man and The Main Chance for me!
I'd rather wait for a complete series to be released and at a good price: Less than £10 for a two-disc set; £15 (or less) for three; £20-25 for four or five; and nearer to £30 than £40 for anything more. I think Hadleigh is the only series that I've got to see as a boxset after at least two years of putting up with one series/volume released after another. I'm still hoping for something similar to happen very soon with Father Dear Father, And Mother Makes Five, Crown Court and a few others. I can't believe each series is going to keep being sold separately.

This time last week the deadline for the Network Sale was coming to an end. My fear of people is so extreme these days that even my mother and brother are very difficult to approach. He acts as her 'Attorney' regarding financial affairs and I panicked for a good few hours before having the COURAGE to ask him if I could borrow the card. Well anyway I got it, and set about adding these amazing items to the Network shopping basket, for only the third time in two years. I soon made up for it and, going by the original prices for each, saved £180!:

Agony, The Corridor People , The Four Just Men (TV), The Day the Earth Caught Fire (Special Edition), The Hanged Man (with recurring roles for Colin Blakely and Gary Watson! ), If There Weren't Any Blacks, You'd Have to Invent Them , In Character: Richard Bradford , Man of the World , The Mind of Mr. J.G. Reeder, Mr. Axelford's Angel , Mystery and Imagination, The Sentimental Agent and a second purchase of Gideon's Way*.

About 50 hours later, just after 7pm, they all arrived, much to my surprise and excitement. You're right Glyn, The Corridor People is a trifle offbeat but it was a real pleasure to see perennial twit Tim Barrett - as a twitcher - after such a long time. Strange to think this video-taped programme was made before his short film Talk of the Devil, last seen on ITV about a million years ago. Another dream release. I've also seen the first episode of The Mind of J.G. Reeder. I liked it but subsequently found out it's another 'telerecording' job for some of the episodes and that it was yet another victim of ITV's colour strike.

*My first copy of Gideon's Way has a disc that's slightly damaged. The cover seen on Network's page is the one with the badge as part of the design, which I like better. A great opportunity to buy it again ... but when it arrived it proved to be the same cover as the one I've already got. Oh well, I can still copy the picture to my computer and maybe even scan it to place inside the sleeve. One DVD can be used for screencapping, the other for viewing so it doesn't matter too much. We can look forward to more great sales, and of course releases, I'm sure.

    THANK YOU, NETWORK!!!

That's a bumper purchase, cornershop, and some great stuff there. The quality of the REEDER episodes does improve and there's even a couple of colour episodes later on. It's a fun series. Enjoy!

I resisted the temptation to dip into the sale and am regretting it already.

"The Fall of the House of Usher" production is the best version I've seen. Amazing production values considering it was made on tape at (presumably) Teddington Studios.
