Must admit to being in two minds about whether to buy this or not, but being a lover of all things Roman ( past and present), think I'll now take the plunge

I watched the Blu-ray of this the other night and enjoyed it very much, having never heard of it until it cropped up on an Amazon email. And loving all things Roman, I snapped it up, along with Agora which I've yet to see. As far as Centurion is concerned, it moves like lightning, has some crafty narrative twists and there is bloody bodily tissue from several fine movies - obviously, there's a Gladiator moment or two; Michael Mann's The Last of the Mohicans; Braveheart and Apocalypto; Conan; The Naked Prey, for example - but most of all, and credited, is Walter Hill's The Warriors. Set in Pict-land's frozen wastes and dark pine forests, it has a wonderful visual allure and scores a first with me by being set in Roman occupied Britain. And of course, despite the years that have passed, the Scots as a race haven't changed at all. It's exciting, original and fun, and I commend it to the Senate.
I didn`t like it at all. That woman spinning around was all a bit too far fetched for me. I gave up on it after about half an hour.
