Been away for a few days then return to this exciting news..Great stuff!
Re quality.
This will rather depend on what the master was like they used and if they encode the DVD for dual layer. If they go for a single layer disc then the quality may not be so hot when viewing on a larger screen with two films squeezed onto one DVD. But if we remember most of these flicks were recorded off air and lifted from VHS or Beta I am sure going by the other releases Renown have come up with the NEW results will show greater contrast and much better sound than the old analogue lifts.
Do still have a 16mm print of this one which is getting rather aged now, plus a reasonable recording of the movie, but it will be so nice to have the official release in my collection.
It’s been quite an amazing 12 months for fans on this type of film and although they may not suit every taste, for me at least Renown have brought great pleasure in this house and also film societies throughout our region.
Hats off to you again Renown.![]()
