May I remind members when they're talking about Hammer films that this company notoriously released 3 versions of each film, a UK version (often the shortest), a Continental version (with semi-nude scenes often replaced by nude, e.g. Hazel Court's modelling scene in The Man Who Could Cheat Death, where she is topless for the European version), and a Japanese version that would omit any nudity but have more gore and violence! Curse of the Werewolf was particularly unlucky with its treatment from the BBFC (see my photoalbum comments). It was due to this film that Trevelyan drew up tighter guidelines for horror movies, which along with commercial reasons explains Hammer's three year gap between Phantom of the Opera and Evil of Frankenstein. I would welcome an uncut release of this film!
