Thanks for this alert. Depending on where you live on this globe, you may not pay VAT which will lower the price even further. A great deal.

An excellent price for an excellent series. In time we may get a 'proper' release with some extra material but even in bare bones, this is the ultimate version of the Great Detective.

yes, extras would be nice-something like the bee keeping scene that was filmed as an intro to 'the devils foot' (i think?) would be welcome or an interview with hardwicke or burke done in the style of 'dr watsons memoirs' which is something burke has done for the 'sherlock holmes society' dinners.

Good value. I wish retailers would not use the verging on the illegal and fictitious RRP, in this case £119, to enhance the favourable price.

I can't complain, I've watched it repeatedly and love the series. I only wish I'd gone to Granada to see the set before it was levelled.

I originally bought the individual discs at heaven knows what price in total, plus there were playback problems with quite a few of them. I more recently replaced these with the box set and I thought I was doing well by paying £40. At least there do not appear to be playback problems with these.

You could never walk along the 'Baker Street' set although I think the tour tram went down it. Once the tours started there was a fee paid for every use of it for filming - crazy! The inside set used to be off-limits to see close to but when it turned up in the Movieum in London you could get a good look at everything
