I'm all for more people finding out more about him - but will there be anything new for those that already know of his work? There were quite a few interviews with family and friends on some documentaries about him just after he died. Totally Bill Hicks (1994) has quite a lot about his young life and his struggles in getting on US TV. It has interviews with his family and his school and college friends

Then the recordings like Sane Man, Relentless and Revelations give a good idea of what his stage act was like

Probably not. I suspect the film will be aimed at Americans where Hicks (I think) is still relatively obscure.

Anyway, here he is remembering his worst ever gig:

Lovely, he certainly had an interesting life.

One of my favourites of his, apart from "It's just a ride" is the story of the waffle waitress

He was often rude and disparaging about the people of the Southern States, but he did love 'em really
