    Hi, JamesM,

That's just great news, isn't it? Libel is such interesting viewing. I'm glad to see it finally available.

    Thanks very much for that.

    Best,

    Barbara

Saw it on TV 20 yrs ago - stood up very well then and I liked the 'in joke' about the Darlington Repertory Company.

No, dpgmel, it doesn't say it's only for US rental. It says that Warner Archive will not post the DVD to countries outside the US. However, before long, it should be available from amazon.com and Movies Unlimited, who do post to the UK.

    Hi Dpgmel.

Practically every DVD player these days does ALL regions. Mine was only €49, bought it about five years ago and does them all.

This issue has come up in other threads over the course of time, and I know that Steve Crook knows a thing or two about it too.

I wish more companies would do the on-demand thing. It does seem a sensible way of releasing material that isn't likely to have a huge market.

    Hello, dpgmel,

As DBF mentioned, Warner won't ship outside the U.S. I'm delighted to see both Warner Bros. and Sony/Columbia Classics dipping into their archives and offering DVD-purchase-on-demand, e.g. LIBEL. Although neither company ships abroad, TCM-US and Amazon (thanks to Steve for the alert) are selling Warner and Sony DVDs, and they ship abroad.

    LIBEL, remastered edition:

    At:
    Turner Classic Movies

    and

Amazon.com: Libel [Remaster]: Olivia De Havilland, Dirk Bogarde, Paul Massie, Robert Morley, Wilfrid Hyde-White, Anthony Asquith: Movies & TV
