Libel gets the Warner Archive on demand treatment.
One for Barbara.
Libel (Warner Archive)
Saw it on TV 20 yrs ago - stood up very well then and I liked the 'in joke' about the Darlington Repertory Company.
For a moment I hoped it was getting, a long overdue, Region 2 release![]()
Unless I'm reading the link wrong it's only aavailable for U S rental ? ( hope I'm wrong in that )
No, dpgmel, it doesn't say it's only for US rental. It says that Warner Archive will not post the DVD to countries outside the US. However, before long, it should be available from amazon.com and Movies Unlimited, who do post to the UK.
I wish more companies would do the on-demand thing. It does seem a sensible way of releasing material that isn't likely to have a huge market.
Hello, dpgmel,
As DBF mentioned, Warner won't ship outside the U.S. I'm delighted to see both Warner Bros. and Sony/Columbia Classics dipping into their archives and offering DVD-purchase-on-demand, e.g. LIBEL. Although neither company ships abroad, TCM-US and Amazon (thanks to Steve for the alert) are selling Warner and Sony DVDs, and they ship abroad.
