The Maggie - remastered?

I bought the Optimum/Canal box of Ealing films containing, among others, The Maggie.

T'other day in HMV I spotted a single disc version and, although I was in a tearing hurry, I'm sure it said it was remastered and contained some extras (which the boxset version does not).

Can anyone who has seen both tell me whether there is a noticeable improvement in the remastered version? Also, what are the extras please?

A handful were remastered to celebrate the centenary (LadyKillers, Lavender Hill Mob) but to the best of my knowledge not The Maggie.
