Tawny Pipit will be a most welcome release here - I shall be very grateful to finally get a decent copy...

With the unexpected yet very welcome release of Tawny Pipit, I wonder if we dare hope for the restoration and release of another mid-forties saga of English village life, namely Great Day featuring the great Eric Portman. And could there yet be a glimmer of hope for a R2 issue of Poison Pen? I shall be rubbing my rabbit’s foot with extra vigour in the coming months.
Poison Pen is an Associated British film so will be part of the Studio Canal library. Most likely therefore that any release would come from Optimum rather than Odeon.

The location for Tawny Pipit has been voted the "Most Romantic". Well it was back in 1944 without all the parked cars.
