A wonderful supporting cast do what they can (with little help from the script) but when I saw this a few years ago, Brian Rix really made me want to kick the TV in!

On the positive side, perhaps it will lead to the release of the more elusive Night We Got the Bird, which as well as Liz Fraser, Dora Bryan, Irene Handl and Reggie Beckwith also has some interesting location shots of 1961 Brighton.

My sentiments exactly - Brian Rix, just why? But worth making the ffort for Cecil Parker, William Hartnell and Leslie Philips who all give splendid performances

I must concur I watched this recently and the popularity of Brian Rix is totally lost on me I'm afraid. We get a lot business with a bucket stuck on Brian's foot, but really the likes of Norman Wisdom was so much better at this kind of stuff, still the supporting cast is indeed excellent.
