The only episodes I recall are one about ballet which starred Michael Latimer and the other about polling day.
Personally I don't remember this series at all but it sounds intriguing and the cast list is excellent, due from Network in February.
Anyone remember it .... ?
Village Hall - The Complete Series 1 [DVD]: Amazon.co.uk: Ron Moody, Bernard Hepton, George Cole, Colin Welland, Patrick Troughton, June Howson, Quentin Lawrence, Alan Grint, John Bruce, Alan Gibson: Film & TV

A couple of these are on Jack Rosenthal at ITV dvd, the polling day one is called Mr Ellis vs the People and stars Ron Moody & Marjorie Yates. The other is about a gas leak and the residents have to stay in the Village Hall, this one has a good cast too; including Bernard Hepton, Liz Smith & Norman Rossington. I enjoyed these two; so I think I will invest; as I can only vaguely remember the series from its original transmission.![]()
Is it a straight comedy, or more a drama?
Comedy drama. I found the two episodes on the Jack Rosenthal at ITV DVD a bit creaky, to be honest.
I thought they were mildly interesting in a 'Doesn't she look young?' or 'Isn't that X?' sort of way but a whole series might be a bit painful unless you were a fan of a particular actor though I'm not sure if there are any recurring characters?
Just to go along with the consensus, if a set came my way this Christmas, it would go on the shelf beside the Armchair Theatre vol1 box.
