Fab news for TV documentary fans ( of which I'm one ) those nice people at Network are releasing a third volume of WIA's
World in Action: Volume 3: Network DVD
I'd probably appreciate WIA more now than when originally broadcast in the 70s - 8-8.30pm was the boring gap between Coronation Street and the 8.30 ITV sitcom, which I usually filled in with homework or (shudder to even think of it now) violin practice!
Just read on the Network website that this will be released next Monday ( 5th December )![]()
Just finished watching this, IMHO, essential release. Excellent stuff indeed.
Fingers well and truly crossed for more volumes of this.
thanks for that post dpgmel
i put a call out a little while ago on the films or tv wanted thread for anything about nicholas hoogstraten before his prison sentence in 2002 .
i'm glad to see that world in action volume 3 has one of the shows dedicated to him .
why its took 3 volumes to include him i dont know ?
he's a great panto villain
he even plays up for the camera !
Do any of the released volumes include the 1987 documentary on U2 and the unemployment/troubles in Ireland?
