Haven't heard of the first but The Scarlet Blade has had a number of TV showings. Good film.
A first for both I think, released January 16th.

I don't think Kandahar has been in wide circulation for a very long time; hardly at all since the cinema release, I suspect...
Good news that we may finally be able to ditch the awful multi-gen copies!

Snap - I have a real bootleg turkey on DVD! Saw the film at the local cinema Sunday matinee in '69.

No indication who is releasing them.
My only real memory of seeing The Brigand of Kandahar on (teatime/early evening) television is that it was chock full of stock footage and studio sets: just what I like!![]()
Great News, only resently got myself a bootleg copy of 'The Crimson Blade' a bit ropy.
THE SCARLET BLADE aka THE CRIMSON BLADE in the States (as to the title change - go figure, as they say!), won an award for its colour cinematography. I transferred a great copy from television to DVD - but hopefully this new release will be even better.
