I don't think Kandahar has been in wide circulation for a very long time; hardly at all since the cinema release, I suspect...

Good news that we may finally be able to ditch the awful multi-gen copies!

The Brigand of Kandahar DVD | British Film | Films by Movie Mail UK

The Scarlet Blade DVD | British Film | Films by Movie Mail UK

No indication who is releasing them.

My only real memory of seeing The Brigand of Kandahar on (teatime/early evening) television is that it was chock full of stock footage and studio sets: just what I like!

The catalogue code reveals that it is Optimum Releasing.

THE SCARLET BLADE aka THE CRIMSON BLADE in the States (as to the title change - go figure, as they say!), won an award for its colour cinematography. I transferred a great copy from television to DVD - but hopefully this new release will be even better.
