This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Inspector Morse series and we will be commemorating this event with a brand new Anniversary Collection to be released in the fall of 2012.

Anyone heard anything on this? They just released 11 box sets in Oct. 2011 and I was about to pick them up. But will wait
if this is not overly expensive.

I gather this is the release. The only odd thing is it says May release when the official page says Fall 2012.

No mention of any restoration either (a complaint I have seen on previous releases).

To commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the award winning Inspector Morse television series, this complete murder mystery collection contains all thirty-three episodes, 3 bonus programs plus a fascinating guidebook. Starring John Thaw (Kavanagh Q.C.) & Kevin Whately (Inspector Lewis).

No mention of restoration so probably hasn't been.

Seems mighty, nay very, very expensive ($409) for a non-remastered DVD set - surely it must be BluRay. ITV already show HD copies on ITV3 and also ITV1 occasionally

Hopefully its BluRAy and if its anything like the quality of the BluRay Poirot releases it'll be worth the wait!

Yes the price is really high. The 11 individual sets that just came out add up to cheaper.

One of the bonus programs is probably that Inspector Morse's Oxford dvd that just came out. Don't know what the other 2 bonus programs are yet.
