Alpha's releases are variable but the TV ones are often pretty good. They released the Captain David Grief episodes which have excellent sound and picture. I have some of their US 50s series releases too and they are pretty good as well.
Here's a link to their website. Movie Search: scarlet pimpernel: DVDs : OLDIES.com Bats.

The Adventures of Sir Lancelot - Volume 1 - Television on DVD (1956) Starring William Russell; Directed by Lawrence Huntington, Ralph Smart & Bernard Knowles; Alpha Video : OLDIES.com It's adequate for the purpose but can seem quite fuzzy when people move.... The sound is slightly out of synch. too, but if you've just a pasing interest, and allow for the low price, it's okay. I doubt it would hold a candle to the re-mastered versions. ![]()
