I am not the one claiming they are criminals who are breaking the law.

See above for explanation of my advanced language. Sorry didn't mean to confuse you.

But you didn't answer the question. Do you work for them? Or have any other connection to them?

I think we should cut Russell99 a bit of slack. Granted, he came storming in here a bit indelicately, but he's right that some very serious allegations were made about Orbit Media, and I'm as curious as anyone where the evidence is for it. The suggestion that a DVD company selling its products in every high street store and through every online retailer is a bootlegger, and yet no one high up in the industry bats an eyelid, sounds pretty far-fetched to my ears. Of course, I know next to nothing about the workings of the industry, but that's why I'm eager to hear more of an explanation.

I think those claiming that Orbit are simply bootleggers owe Russell99 (or at least the rest of us reading this thread) more than a petty dig at his spelling!

We do not owe anyone an explanation. If someone wants to make a statement that contradicts mine or express a view that differs to mine then that is fine but if someone comes on and here and categorically accuse me of making libellous statements and announce that I have "shown a complete lack of intelligence" and allege that "I am bring shame to this forum" owes me, and all he has slandered me in front of, an explanation and back up his statement.

Perhaps some of you may be in the habit of making bold claims that are not true but I can assure you I am not in that habit. If I was unsure about my statement then I would have made it clear that it was speculation.

Russell99, do you claim to know that Orbit Media do have a license from Granada for Twinky?

Read the comments here:
Amazon.co.uk: Twinky: Charles Bronson,Susan George,Richard Donner: DVD

"One real point of criticism : the dvd release is ridiculously BAD. Were they filming with a digital camera in the back of an art-house cinema ? I haven't seen it this bad since I started collecting dvd's. "

Another Orbit success story...
Amazon.co.uk: The Leather Boys [1963]: Rita Tushingham,Colin Campbell,Dudley Sutton,Gladys Henson,Avice Landon,Sidney J. Furie: DVD

"Much more seriously, the box copy claims that the film is presented in widescreen, when in fact it's letterboxed 4:3 - which means that widescreen TV owners can choose between either watching a minuscule (around 1/3 size) picture floating in the middle of the screen, or zooming in, which degrades the image so badly as to render it pretty much unwatchable."

"this must be about the worst dvd transfer i have ever seen! Some scenes were so pixelated you can hardly make out the faces. The makers of this dvd should be ashamed to charge such a price for such a shoddy piece of work."

I bought The Leather Boys on R1 and the print is excellent.

Someone called 'Amazon Policer'

Once again, and would be good if we could stay on topic.... Picture quality does not prove if someone has paid a license or not.

Amateur copyright experts like 'Amazon Policer' and JamesM need to prove their claims of law breaking and wrong doing or button it.

And for anyone reading this forum, I would like to make it publicly known that a moderator, (I assume JamesM) is removing and editing my posts.

Come on James cant we talk like adults and play fair.

As i said in a post you removed, dont try to turn it back on me, I didnt claim they are breaking the law YOU DID. I have nothing to prove!

Russell99, do you claim to know that Orbit Media do have a license from Granada for Twinky?
Point one, if you have no evidence that Orbit Media LTD are as you claim, illegal theives stealing from Granada, you may owe them an explanation in court.

Point 2, For the third time, please share with us on what grounds you know this is not speculation.

We are all still waiting.

I have no idea what licenses they have or don't have, Im not the one claiming they are criminal bootleggers selling illegal copies.

Mr Wilkens states, "During the movie the name Delta appears a number of times on your screen."

I have two or three DVDs by a company called Delta (they released the Hannay series) and on some of their discs the logo 'delta' appears. They appear to have nothing to do with Orbit, so why does that logo appear onscreen during the Orbit release of Twinky?

The only person who I can see who has edited your posts is you!

I have not removed or edited your posts so do not follow my post with yet another entirely false accusation. You need to decide whether you accused me in error OR leave us to believe that you deliberately attempted to mislead people on this forum to believe that I have been deleting and editing your posts.

Which is it?
