Default Home and Away

Pre orderd this title on HMV for £5.99,
it arrived today. The transfer is very dark, and at one point in the movie, there are what i can only decribe as video scan lines, vertical bars that appear and make the image wavey. Are the people at Odeon checking their tranfer's? before they release them to the public.
I have also pre orderd "Women Who Do" for £5.99. Can i expect the same from this company, Murder in the Red Barn had a picture fault.

Watched my copy of Home and Away in the light of this comment but didn't notice any problems. Sorry to state the obvious, but if watching on an analogue cathode ray tv have you checked the contrast/brightness settings? Odeon's releases don't seem to have had any digital restoration, but I've been quite happy with all those I've purchased. This is obviously the same print of "Home and Away" that was shown on Matinee movies and the late lamented Carlton Cinema.

Watched it again on pc and it was brighter, on my main lcd tv it is dark no matter what i do, brighten or contrast too much and the whites are like search lights. There arestill scan lines on the scene when the daughter goes to the front door to let Harry Fowler's mother in with Sam Kydd as her boyfriend. Is yours the same Mr T ?
