Default brandy for the parson

BRANDY FOR THE PARSON is to be released in april, which I remember being good fun. Also YOU'RE ONLY YOUNG TWICE which I know little about.

It is based on a play by actor Reginald Beckwith - saw it on TV years ago - very mild and unassuming comedy. Made in the days when films could be populated largely by eccentric character actors. Like Brandy it was a Group 3 Film

The late Halliwell slated them, but I thought they had a whimsical quality all of their own.

I used to think Halliwell slated anything if it wasn't within his own range of preferences. I find his Film Guide to one of the lesser review style books.

One of the Group 3 films never to turn up is 'The End of the Road' 1954 with Finlay Currie. Since Make Me an Offer, John and Julie, and Orders are Orders were released recently I thought it might surface. It's not a comedy though and those three were issued as comedies. I'm not sure that Make Me an Offer really qualifies. What do you think?
