Are DVDs from this UK site 'legal' ?? (i.e. properly licensed from Granada etc....)

Some of the titles offered appear to be legit releases, but they also seem to be selling DVDR discs, which suggests these are not legit ......On their website it says...

<These will usually be comparable to off-air quality, with perhaps just the odd voice over !!! >

You got me excited about an official release there MrT...

Of course they're not legal, but at least it's more reliable than ebay and saves hunting down stuff.

I've bought several things from there too and mostly the quality has been excellent apart from channel idents. A Girl Must Live is highly recommended (by me anyway) as one of the funniest 1930s comedies and very saucy too!

When I was a Directory operator, I was regularly asked for "Customs and Exercise" - probably by the same people who thought their opticians were called "Dillon and Hutchinson"!

When I worked at a unit called Bertram Lodge we often used to answer the phone by saying 'Buggerem Logs' ..... it was very rare for someone not to believe we had said 'Bertram Lodge'.

If you look up Margaret Lockwood on ebay, most of the listings are for DVD-Rs of her films!

It's like that with many Brit stars of her era.
