Great stuff. I saw Taxi Driver in the cinema back in the seventies, i think i was 15 or 16.

Private Eye also has some good casting - Jon Pertwee and Suzy Kendall (think it was her last film)

One for the shopping list.

Seriously though, how do these match up with the CONFESSIONS films...a step up, on a par, a step down?

Re Adventures of .... production values slightly down, quality of birds on a par, comedy moments slightly up, rude moments slightly ruder.

I prefer the Adventures of .... series but both of them are pretty ropey.

Ropey, certainly, but they do have a certain charm. I must dig out my copy of "Rosie Dixon-Night Nurse".

I suppose being of a certain age, and having been fortunate enough to have seen these in the cinema when i was in my mid teens. There is a bit of nostalgia, and the tendency to look at these through rosy coloured glasses.

Still looking forward to watching them again.

I like them all. I suppose the Confessions movies were the template and the others just followed the lead. Strangly though i have never been to keen on Wndow Cleaner, loved Pop Performer. Also liked Askwith in Lets Get Laid.

Is this DVD still available? Seems no longer available from Amazon other than from private sellers.

ROSIE DIXON hasn't been released on DVD has it? Any recommedations for any above average examples of this genre eg. ESKIMO NELL, the WHAT'S UP films etc?

Also anyone have the R1 release "The English Girls Collection: What's Good For The Goose/Intimate Games/Love Is a Splendid Illusion"? Just wondering if GOOSE is the same cut version as released in the UK and also what the other films were like?

Lets Get Laid is currently available as part of a Fiona Richmond box-set (with Expose and Hardcore), the solo DVD is out of print.

Fiona Richmond box-set

I believe "Goose" is the cut version. Love is a Splendid Illusion is fairly dull IMO, Intimate Games is worth seeing, but a superior version is meant to be released to UK DVD this summer so I’d hold back for that.

I think it's more complete than the UK release, but having seen the original run, I can confirm that it is still cut.

No, I've got a VHS copy I picked up in a bargain bin. It's worth checking out for its amazing cast.

When I worked for a bank a few years aso I spoke to her on the phone, as she was one of our customers. Didn't realise until I'd put the phone down who it was - D'oh!
