We wait ages for 'The Card' and then get it twice! A bit strange no? I wonder if Network will put Petula on the front this time.

It should be Glynis if it were to be an actress.

I agree that Glynis is more prominent in the film; my point is that when DD did it they put Alec, Glynis and Valerie on - no sign of Petula. Whereas the original film posters had all three ladies.

'Assault' and 'Revenge'! That's such wonderful news. Hopefully this will mean that even more of Sidney Hayers' sorely neglected work will find its way to DVD sometime very soon.

The films of important, yet severely under-rated British filmmakers such as Hartford-Davis and Hayers deserve great quality DVD editions (by which I mean great transfers, even if extras are light). So not only do I hope that the Hayers titles will look good, but I have my fingers firmly crossed that Network will make a far better job of Robert Hartford-Davis' 'The Sandwich Man' than DD did. Channel 4 screened a lovely 16:9 version many moons ago that wipes the floor with the murky 4:3 affair DD used.
