Christine these are all the joys of being a collector. Too many, too mutch and not enough room. Over the last couple of years I'v got into collecting TV series. Thank God they are on disc and not tape. The best thing at the moment is the £ $ (sorry for $ sign only one on key board) exchange rate. DVD's have always been cheaper in the States but with the Dollar so low bargains are the rule of the day. For example "MISSION IMPOSSABLE" season 2 on sale in UK £44.99p = $89.86 same series in the US $34.99 = £17.51p even with post and packing a great saving boy I just love George Bush.

Oh, YOU! Stop making sense. Stop it.

We bought the Beatles CD Collection from Amazon CO UK for nearly 52% of what Amazon COM USA sells it for, ordering it on a Monday night and receiving it Friday morning. Our Amazon USA purchases are almost always 7-8 days shipping time - not only was it cheaper to buy from CO UK but quicker! Amazing.

I'm impressed with the TV MISSION IMPOSSIBLE series. It's fun, done with rather routine sets and backdrops - almost Hammer-style in their garish colorings and forced-muted tones. Despite all the appearance 'problems', the show's predictable ability to create tension makes it all the more fun - I mean, I KNOW the rollercoaster will go up and then down, but predictability doesn't remove any of the ride's fun.

Now, this PRIZE OF ARMS becomes available, and Hackett rubs salt in my caper-noir wounds with yet another title. When will my collection EVER be complete?!!
Sorry Christine your collection will never be complete we always find something else when we think we have finished, so its an ever collecting game this The only time i suppose that we will finish is when we run out of room

That's true, my experience with the institution of Royal Mail is fabulous. Stuff from their Amazon arrives in 3-4 days! I guess wherever Her Majesty's crown reigns, postal service seems impeccable: DVDs ordered from an Australian web shop arrived in 5 days!

Running out of room won't stop the serious collector. You just move to a bigger house

With a husband and kids how do you ever find the time to watch them all?

The last time I watched LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN, I was coveting that library with at least 2 open floors of shelves and that rolling ladder. hubba hubba...

Our 'big wall' is for our party-room's theatre 'screen', however, and I've been thinking maybe we should go ahead and cover it with 2-story-high shelves and a rolling ladder, then have a drop-down movie-screen for those parties. Dozens of good PA-system speakers could be placed as 'bookends' on those shelves, and let us REALLY blow out the windows when we want to show MAD DOGS & ENGLISHMEN.
