Default DDHE Problems

I have been trying to place an order with the DDHE online store for two weeks now but keep getting a "Server Error" message at the end of checkout.
I have contacted DDHE and have been informed that they are aware of the problem and have technicians working to correct it.
It would seem the problem is bigger than first thought and I cannot imagine why it is taking over two weeks to correct.
Not good to lose customers at anytime but particularly with Christmas looming.
I was wondering if anyone based in the UK has had similar problems placing an order online with DDHE recently?

Dave.

I use a Mac and had similar problems on DDHE with Internet Explorer but fixed it by switching to Firefox. In my experience some merchant checkout pages just don't work on a Mac - but then I'm used to the mentality which sees Windows as the ONLY operating system in existence!

Hi DB,

I normally use Mozilla Firefox but have also tried Internet Explorer without any luck.
I must say that I have not experienced any such problems when dealing with other online stores.

Cheers

Dave.

It looks a bit like a commercial shopping cart rather than a purpose designed website. Maybe you have a pop-up blocker or AV limiting javascript?

Just to say that I was having problems ordering from DDHE using the Firefox browser. It was only when I switched to Explorer that I got as far as 'Thank you for your order...' etc. and thought no more of it. Until this morning when I received three copies of each of the films I'd ordered. I'm assuming that in fact my earlier attempts to order using Firefox had actually worked. The good news is that DDHE have said I can return the unwanted items and they'll refund my money. The bad news is that one of the films was '2,000 Women'. This means that at the moment I have 6,000 women and frankly I don't have the energy....

It's a tough life Ted, keep taking the tablets

As for the browser problems, as was said above they seem to be using some commercially available marketplace web system - but it would seem to be not a very good one if it doesn't work with Firefox or other browsers. There are some things web sites can do that only work properly with Internet Exploder. These things aren't in the international standard for web pages, but when did Micro$oft ever concern themselves with international standards?

I use Firefox for the vast majority of things but I keep IE handy for the brain-damaged web sites that use IE specific code.
