I have discovered a Canadian company, Koch Vision, which seems to have a lot of old and new BBC series. They distribute via Amazon.ca: Online shopping for Canadians - books, music, DVDs, software, video games & more. I've just pre-ordered the 1971 Last of the Mohicans, with Philip Madoc, for my Dad. I recall watching it in black and white as a kid... They also have the 1966 Three Musketeers, with Brian Blessed and Jeremy Brett.

They also have Jude the Obscure (BBC1971) with Robert Powell and Granada's Shades of Darkness . Both of these can be picked up via Amazon UK.
