Should be worth getting, especially with the commentary by our mate, Prof Ian Christie

BTW Have you got the book of the film by Leo Marks?
London: Faber & Faber, 1998. ISBN 0-571-19403-6
It's essentially the script but with a few other comments and stage direction by Leo.

My favourite is when Mark approaches Dora (Brenda Bruce) at the start and in her commonest voice she says "It'll be two quid".
Leo adds the comment "Evidently we have two quid"
Leo was very dry/droll but a very interesting man.

Default Peeping Tom

PEEPING TOM was one of the films shown as part of a film studies course in Southampton a couple of years back and good as it is - it did get some unintentional laughs - the biggest one being when Anna Massey follows Karl Boehm into his room for the first time and the camera stays on her face as he walks on and turns on the light - and then she looks surprised and says "Why Mark - it's enormous!" Maybe all those years of Confessions films have just damaged us all.

You also have to allow for changes in the usage of English, a constanly changing language.
In A Matter of Life and Death there's a point where Peter says to June, "My head feels a bit queer". That always gets an unintentional laugh.

No such luck as regards the book Steve, is it still in print?

As you know I'm still feeling my waay round the world of P&P, any other books you can recommend, would be appreciated.

I haven't seen this film itself since the 80's,when it was on BBC2's cult film season,
with an introduction by Alex Cox.

cheers again,

nobby

I can't see anyone selling it direct but it's still listed at Amazon UK with people selling it in the Amazon Marketplace from £3.99
I think my copy, signed for me by Leo Marks, might be worth a bit more than that

There's a list of P&P related books on the PaPAS site

I remember that time it was introduced by Alex Cox, a very good introduction to it.
